Strip Tease Mayor Fired
The mayor of an Oregon town who once stripped to her underware and posed on a fire truck has been stripped of her office.
This took place in the tiny town of Arlington, population about 500. Photos of Carmen Kontur-Gronquist in her black bra and panties were posted on MySpace by a relative to "help" find Carmen a date. The photos were posted prior to her election as mayor. Three years later she took the photos off Myspace and closed her account. This wasn't enough to please the 142 (139 people voted to keep Carmen in office) people who voted her out of office recently. Opponents said it wasn't fitting for the mayor to be so depicted. They threw in some other rationale about water and a golf course.
To me, it sounds like the little town of Arlington, Oregon has exactly 139 men.
