I use baking soda as a stain remover. It doesn't work on everything but it works much better than stain sticks and it is natural.
Make a thick paste of baking soda and water. Rub paste on stain. Wash regularly.
Get rid of sweat stain on collars by rubbing the paste into the soiled area. Full strength vinegar works well too.
Draw out blood stains by rubbing the fabric with baking soda paste, then follow with a little hydrogen peroxide.
Get rid of the acid smell from vomit by soaking clothes in a baking soda bath. This also works for cigarette smell.
Add baking soda to your pile of wet towels if you are not able to wash them right away. The baking soda will prevent the "skunk" smell from forming.
Wash clothes and then forget to dry them? I do this alot. Rewash them with a cup of baking soda. The odor will be gone. I use the warmest water my fabrics will allow.
I add baking soda to my front load washer as a booster for my whites as well as my colors.
