I go to the Goodwill to find a bargain. But, ever since Ebay blew up the Goodwill is an overpriced garage sale.

I am finding myself more and more disappointed with the prices at the Goodwill. From time to time I may find a great bargain. But, I don't attribute my gem in the rough finding to correct pricing, more than likely the person that assigned the bright pink tag price didn't know the value of the item.

I am a crafter. I love to paint everything that has a surface. I also love to refinish old furniture. For these reasons I find myself at the Goodwill a few times a month. Recently, I was looking for glassware and was intrigued by their 50% sale. I was rather giddy at the thought of spending $.50 for a wine glass. But, that wasn't the case. The sale only included orange sticker items. The tags were placed on the bottoms of the glass so it took 20 minutes of shifting, flipping and reaching only to discover that the orange tagged items were the Creme De La Crap.

The wine glasses that didn't have "Jonny's" name imprinted or gold restaurant logos were $1.99! Again, the Goodwill tried to take advantage of my innocence. Walmart sells 4 descent wine glasses for $4.00 a case. So when did the Goodwill become more expensive than Walmart?

Kudos to Walmart to employing the disabled but "Pants Down" to their rationale of raising prices based on bargain hunters looking to flip products for a profit on Ebay.

I am already looking forward to garage sale season... where the real bargains are plentiful and on occassion, a lemonaide stand is being maned.
